If you’re like me, you may have a lot of social media accounts you need to manage. Although you may invest your time in some more than others, there are a few social media management tools out there to help you.
My favorite is HootSuite. I tried 2-3 alternate tools before settling on HootSuite because it does everything I need it to do.
In one window, I can access all my social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn. I have added my LinkedIn groups so I can select which ones to share appropriate posts and tweets.
I have also organized my streams under different categories that I chose. This allows me to keep track of the topics and people in which I have an interest.
This level of customization is available for a small fee every month. The free version didn’t have the same level of flexibility. And, believe me, having my networks all in one location has been worth a lot to me in terms of time savings.
The bonus features are the analytics. I can see how many people clicked on my links and followed me; where they live in the world, and which site referred them. I can access my Google Analytics and customize a report according to my needs.
