The latest results from Blackbaud’s 2013 Online Marketing Benchmark Study for Nonprofits demonstrate that online fundraising continues to grow. From 2011 to 2012, overall revenue grew by 11.6%!

As expected, first-time donations grew the least, by only 3%, with sustainer donations growing by a whopping 27%!

As far as which category generated the most online donations, that falls to team events, such as fundraising runs and walks, with an average of more than $1.9 million.

Second place went to Canadian organizations (yay!) at an average of more than $1.4 million, followed by Christian ministries which beat out disasters and international relief at an average of over $800K.
