  • According to a new study by Thrive Analytics, 45% of small businesses surveyed say that company websites are still their most effective marketing tool. Social media is gaining ground, which jumped from 27% of those surveyed last year to 39% in 2015.
  • Mobile email conversion rates jumped 70% over the past year as marketers adjusted their strategies to better cater to customers opening messages on smartphones and tablets, according to a new report released by Yesmail.

So says a terrific article in AdAge and I couldn’t agree more.

Data and automated messaging are hot topics, but b-to-b marketers say their marketing must get more personal in 2015. ‘We need b-to-b to be more human,’ said Andy Goldberg, global creative director at GE. That sentiment was echoed by other marketers and agency execs who shared their predictions for the top b-to-b trends of 2015.”

In the business-to-business world, LinkedIn is the king of content. In fact, 94% of B2B marketers use LinkedIn to distribute content, making it the social media platform used most often.

The 2015 B2B Content Marketing Trends - North America from Content Marketing Institute/MarketingProfs also demonstrates that respondents find that LinkedIn is the most effective of all social media platforms. What’s interesting is that 55% of respondents represent micro and small businesses in North America.
